Brain Radiation Update.........k
Mom and I went to Greenville on Monday and spent the night because I had to be at the hospital at 6am.
The procedure was worse than the one I had in August. My back gave me alot of trouble. I guess from laying so long. The MRI took 40 minutes then the radiation another 45 minutes. Then there is alot of prep work and follow up work. Of course the worst part is having the helmet screwed on my head with what they call pins and I call screws. I won't go into further details. I'm sure you get the picture! We finally left at 11:30am. Then had Chemo today. Started a new Chemo a few weeks ago which will be weekly instead of every three weeks. I'm being told that between Chemo and Radiation that fatigue and sore bones will set in
shortly.I dred that again.
Other than that I've had some stomach issues for a few months. Have had no appetite. Lost about 45 pounds. I'm sure I'll gain some back from the steroids I have to take for swelling in the brain. Two more scans later this month....liver and bone. Fingers crossed! I hope all of you are doing well. I miss and love you all!
