Had the chemo port put in yesterday and the bone scan. Everything went well. Met with Dr. Soble at 3pm (Oncologist)-- The bone and brain scans both came back clear.
However, the Cat Scan shows several small tumors in the liver. A biopsy is being scheduled to determine the type of cancer in the liver. Once chemo starts the goal is to shrink the tumors. Dr. Soble has done a referral to Chapel Hill for clinical trials which means if a times comes when the tumors in the liver start getting bigger, I will go to Chapel Hill to try new medicines that are being tested. Dr. Soble told me that chemo and cat scans will be a part of my life from here on out. (because of the liver issue)
